The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is a security force under the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India.

It was set up under an act of Parliament on March 10, 1969and as the name dictates ,it protects industry. It also protects [Airports] , [ports] government buildings, [monuments][coal] [mines], [steel] plants, [nuclear power plants], and space instalations. CISF was made an armed force of the Union of India by an act of Parliament passed June 15, 1983.
