Birthday Candles

Hi all,

Thought I'd show you a couple of cards I made my brother for his birthday the other week. Now I hate making male cards and always find them a bit boring and hard especially when you cant do a cute one (well a 15 year old just doesn't do cute!!).

So I admit I totally copied my cards from 2 I found on Pinterest (you will find the links here) and was quite pleased with result and my brother liked them so thats all that matters.

They were pretty quick and easy to make and it was a nice change not to have to spend hours colouring. I used a couple of different MME paper pads, a few dies and bit of twine.

Handbags & Gladrags

Hi all,

We have a new challenge starting over at Ladybug Crafts Ink today and our theme this challenge is to take your inspiration from this gorgeous photo.

So for my card I decided to use the gorgeous autumnal colours, flowers and fancy swirls and came up with this.

I have used the gorgeous digi  The Gina which is just a fabulous image for any woman (who like me loves shoes & handbags). I teamed the image with some old Basic Grey papers which were just a perfect match for the inspiration photo, added a few flowers, lush satin ribbon, cotton lace and a fabby blingy gem flourish.

Please do pop by the blog and check out my team mates creations.

Hi all,

There is a new challenge over on the Blog at the moment with a Halloween theme and a fab Freebie Here for you to grab if you want to play along.

Flapper Style

Hi all,

Its time for a new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink and this week we also have a fabby new release yay!!!

Skinny Malinky's is a collection of 12 girls (although you only get to see 6 this week) that are a little bit fun & different.

For my card I was given the lovely Ginger to work with - I love her and she looks just like me lol!!! - well the short blonde hair & freckles do, need to loose about 3 stone to look that skinny though!!!. I gave a little squeal when I saw which image Kerry had sent me as whats perfect about this image for me is that in the very near future I am going to be wearing pretty much this outfit for my brothers 20's style party for his big 30th so fancy that!.

I decided to go with a monochrome look and teamed Ginger with some fabby papers from one of the Capsule Collections from Papermania. I added a little splash of red for a bit of interest, some lovely rolled paper roses and gorgeous polka dot ribbon.

Please do pop by the challenge blog and check out my team mates creations.

Now how would you like to win the whole collection of Skinny Malinky's (thats all 12 images) - well each team member has a letter on each of their blogs, find the letters rearrange them to make a word (or two!!!) and send your answer in to lcichallengeblog@aol.com - its that simple.

My letter is N

Tri Fold Class Card

Hi all,

I haven't shown you a class card in a while so thought Id pop on and show you one today - its a different take on a Tri Fold Card and I kept it simple with just a bit of stamping and fabby Die Cut flower.

The girls really enjoyed making this one and they all turned out fabulous.

Thanks for popping by my blog today - sorry I havent been round much lately - my dad went in hospital for an op last week and what should have been a simple in & out job has turned out much more complicated resulting in him having 3 op's in total and a blood transfusion last night, so he has been really poorly and I have been up visiting him most days

Enjoy the rest of your weekend
