Strange Eons is a 1978 novel by Robert Bloch that serves as an homage to the Cthulhu Mythos stories of H. P. Lovecraft. It was first published in hardcover by Whispers Press, then released in paperback in 1979 by Pinnacle Books. It is "dedicated to HPL who dedicated himself to other outsiders and gave to them a silver key".

The book has been translated into French, Spanish, Italian, and German.[1]

Synopsis[]

Art collector Albert Keith finds a painting that his friend Simon Waverly assures him is one mentioned in horror writer H. P. Lovecraft's story "Pickman's Model". "The painting was inspired by Lovecraft's story," Albert suggests.

"Suppose it was the other way around," Simon responds. "Suppose Lovecraft's story was inspired by the painting?"

Meanwhile, model Kay Keith, Albert's ex-wife, is hired to work for the Starry Wisdom Temple, now established in Los Angeles.

The final section of the novel deals with Mark Dixon--the child of Kay and Cthulhu--and the events leading up to end of the world.
