The Good Egg is a 1945 Mr. Hook short directed by Charles M. Jones.
Plot[]
Mr. Hook is woken up in the middle of the night by his consciences, who are fighting weather he should cash in his war bonds now or save them until the wars ends. Eventually, Hook's good conscience prevails and tells Hook the benefits of saving his bonds, such as a new home, clothes, spending money, etc.

- Judging by the available model sheets, the Hook shorts likely began produced while Leon Schlesinger was still the head producer. This short, along with the other two Hook cartoons produced by Warner Bros., were released in 1945, and are copyrighted under Warner Bros. Cartoons.
