Game Boy Color is a 1998 handheld game console manufactured by Nintendo. It is the successor to the Game Boy. Obviously, this console's biggest differences is that it can display games in color. The Game Boy Color is compatible with its predecessor's library, though it is only partially backwards-compatible, as some Game Boy Color games will not work on the older Game Boy. Its successor is the Game Boy Advance.
