Biography[]
2015 Season[]
Lee "Scout" Ye-chan joined SK Telecom T1 during the 2015 preseason as a mid lane substitute; however, the team used only Faker and Easyhoon for the entirety of the 2015 season.
2016 Season[]
Scout made his debut at the 2015 LoL KeSPA Cup against Ever in a semifinal BO3. After losing game 1, SKT subbed him out for Faker but ended up losing the second game as well and were eliminated. Scout stayed with SKT for the 2016 LCK Season but was removed from the roster after the first half of the round robin[29] In March, Scout left SK Telecom T1 to join EDward Gaming as a mid laner. [30]
During the midseason offseason, PawN stepped down as EDG's starting midlaner, and Scout was announced to take his place. [31] The Summer Split was the start to EDG's resurgence as the team finished with an undefeated 16-0 regular season record. In the 2016 LPL Summer Playoffs EDG defeated Team WE 3-2 in the semifinals which set them up for a rematch against Royal Never Give Up. In clean fashion, EDG defeated RNG in a 3-0 sweep and reclaimed the LPL championship. This also qualified them for the 2016 Season World Championship as China's #1 seed.
At Worlds, EDG was drawn in Group C along with H2k-Gaming, ahq e-Sports Club and INTZ e-Sports. Despite being a favorite in the group, they dropped a game to H2K and INTZ which forced a tiebreaker between them an H2K for 1st and 2nd place. After they lost the tiebreaker and ended 2nd, they were drawn against the tournament favorites ROX Tigers in the Quarterfinals. Despite winning a game, EDG was defeated 1-3 and knocked out of Worlds. Post-worlds, EDG attended the 2016 Demacia Cup and won the event after taking down Royal Never Give Up 3-1 in the semifinals and I May 3-0 in the finals.
2017 Season[]
After PawN's departure from EDG, Scout was chosen as the full time starting mid laner for the team. EDG failed to defend their LPL title in the 2017 LPL Spring Season and lost 1-3 to RNG in the 2017 Spring Playoffs semifinals. They placed 3rd after taking down OMG 3-2 in the third place match. Summer was much better for EDG and Scout in particular was an MVP worthy player. He finished 1st in the regular season MVP awards, just above Xiaohu. In the end EDG reclaimed their throne as LPL champions after taking down RNG 3-2 in the finals of the playoffs.
EDG's 2017 Season World Championship participation wasn't so stellar. Although Scout had moments of brilliance, he was one of the main factors behind some of EDG's key losses by being overaggressive and not showing enough respect to his opponents. Ultimately EDG was knocked out of Worlds in the group stage and finished tied for 3rd place with ahq e-Sports Club.
