History[]
Snow Day[]
“ | ” |
On a hot day in the Pride Lands, Simba expresses the wish to go somewhere cold, and looks toward a white-capped mountain in the distance. Rafiki informs the cub that the mountain is called White-top, and that the weather is always cold at its peak. Eager to cool off, Simba and his friend, Nala, take off for White-top, oblivious to the fact that Zazu is following them.
Meanwhile, Shenzi, Azizi, and Kamari are roaming the edge of White-top, lamenting their exile from the Pride Lands, when Shenzi spots Simba and Nala. The hyenas resolve to follow the cubs quietly.
In the meantime, Simba and Nala are climbing White-top when they are suddenly overtaken by an avalanche of snow. They climb out of the drifts and are just beginning to play in the powder when Zazu appears and orders them to return to the Pride Lands. Simba and Nala manage to ditch Zazu, however, and they take off, still unaware that they are being followed by the hyenas.
Zazu finally catches up to the cubs on a nearby ledge, and bellows for them to go home. Much to their horror, however, Zazu's outburst causes an avalanche that sends them all sliding back down the mountain and pummeling Shenzi, Azizi, and Kamari as well.
Luckily, Simba and Nala are unharmed, and they let Zazu take them home, marveling over the snow all the while. Unbeknownst to the group, Shenzi, Azizi, and Kamari drag themselves out of the drifts nearby, and Shenzi says darkly that digging around in the snow has given her an idea.
