―Binga[src]

Binga is a female honey badger.

Binga formed a friendly rivalry with fellow honey badger Bunga, which turned into a fast friendship. The two challenged each other to various competitions, with Binga continually emerging victorious. Eventually, the two were cornered by an old enemy of Bunga's, Mama Binturong, who attempted to frame them for attacking her. Binga and Bunga worked together to defeat her, using the trademark stench of the honey badger to win.

Later, Binga attended Kion's coronation alongside Bunga.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Binga lived at the Tree of Life. She befriended Baliyo, one of the lion princes, who became quite familiar with her grotesque honey badger ways.[1]

Friendship with Bunga[]

Bunga, Binga, Bunga, Binga! Bug-eating contest, Bunga?

Binga and Bunga challenge each other to contests.

Binga was eating grubs when Baliyo introduced her to Bunga, a fellow honey badger. Binga and Bunga had a grub-eating contest, which Binga won. The two proceeded to have a series of other contests in order to prove who was the better honey badger. During the course of their time together, the two became close friends.

Later, Bunga introduced Binga to his friends, the Lion Guard. After the Lion Guard left, Binga and Bunga were attacked by Mama Binturong, who had come to seek revenge on Bunga. Bunga fended Mama Binturong off, and Binga regarded him with appreciation, dubbing his fearless performance as "Bing-credible." Even after Mama Binturong fled, Binga and Bunga pursued her and used their combined stench to defeat her.[1]

Later, Bunga murmured Binga's name in his sleep. After he woke up, Fuli teasingly remarked that he should tell Binga she had said hi.[2]

Rani's coronation[]

Long live the queen! Long live the queen!
―Binga[src]

Binga gathered with other animals outside the Tree of Life as Janna lay dying. When Makini announced Janna's death, Binga reacted with sadness. She attended Janna's funeral at the Willows and brought flowers to her grave. Later, she attended Rani's coronation.[3]

Kion's coronation[]

Yeah!
―Binga cheers for Kion and Rani[src]

Bunga expressed a desire to stay at the Tree of Life due to his close friendship with Binga.[4] The Lion Guard ended up remaining at the Tree of Life as members of the Night Pride, with Kion agreeing to marry Rani. Binga attended their wedding, during which she cheered alongside Bunga.[5]

Physical appearance[]

Binga is slightly smaller and thinner than the male honey badger Bunga. She has purple fur, with a paler muzzle and darker chest. The fur on the back of her neck is thick and white, and runs from the tip of her tail to past her forehead, where it hangs in messy bangs. She has black eyebrows and thick lashes that frame large blue eyes.[1]

Personality and traits[]

I'm stinkier, and I eat bugs faster. Guess that means I'm the better honey badger.
―Binga to Bunga[src]

Much like her friend Bunga, Binga is energetic, excitable, and somewhat crude. She is rather pompous and considers herself to be the best honey badger, although she appreciates Bunga's relentless attitude in trying to prove her wrong.[1]

Appearances[]

Trivia[]

  • In "Journey to the Pride Lands", Kion comments that Rani has become a special friend, and Bunga says the same of Binga. This implies that Binga and Bunga have romantic feelings for each other.[4]
