this is the most homoerotic 50 minutes i’ve ever experienced and that includes the time in high school when i worked out at the local ymca and this guy jason who worked there would hit on me while i was in the weight room
anyway shoutout jason
this movie has alot of nicole kidman ass shots, no opinion there, just stating a fact
This is..,, a hidden gem. One of Nicole's earliest works, it's pretty obscure but luckily I came across it on Amazon prime video for free. This would literally just be a cheesy after school special if it weren't for the blatant and fantastic homoeroticism. Nicole's character meets the new cool girl in school that makes her realize that being a track star isn't everything and it ends with them taking a dance class together, the entire 50 minutes is just them bonding.
Yeah, and the new girl is a baby butch with a dyed buzzcut-mowhawk type hairstyle and it's beautiful.
Room to Move is absolutely uninspiring in every way, the plot is basic and so was the dialogue but it was SO GAY.
It's basically the best worst movie I've ever seen. Nicole Kidman gave the gays what they want from an early age.
I don’t know a lot of things, but I do know that I love jazz dance, freeze frames, lesbian dance theory ✨✨, and straightforward plots!!!
room to move (1987) > black swan (2010)
Eh. Saw it was early Kidman and only 50 minutes so decided to give it a go. Turns out this is not a standalone movie, but an episode in some Australian anthology series called Winners. The concept behind the series is more interesting than this movie itself (not much TV for kids back in 80s Australia so this anthology series was developed to be just that. Looks like there were accompanying novels and lesson plans to go along with each episode/movie).
The songs sound similar to real songs. Like one is almost "Ain’t Nobody" by Chaka Khan and Rufus.
There are better movies about running, there are better movies from Australia, and there are certainly better movies with Nicole Kidman.
so much dyke potential wasted in these 50 minutes
My favorite thing about this movie was that it's 50 minutes long.
Nicole does the fourth sports movie of her career (this time, track and field) and it's perhaps the least interesting of them all, save for the very overt sexual tension between Kidman and her female classmate.
It seems like this was to be the first part of a miniseries or longer movie, so it literally just ends without any real resolution or development.
there’s no way this wasn’t intentionally gay. with that being said, carol trig is so me because i too would’ve done all that for a girl. i demand a full version
Nicole Kidman playing a girl who hasn’t realized she’s a lesbian yet but is deeply in love with a girl at school is something that is so personal to me
Why did I rewatch this.
Nicole Kidman was great as always!
