  what a dumb film. so filled with ominous musical queues and slow zooms that it forgets to let any air into it. do you ever feel fear for anyone? does anything ever feel at stake? are there any human beings in this film?

  alicia witt gives such an embarrassing performance but i guess she at least tried? cage aside no one registers at all.

  I was so ready to chalk this as admirable feat of filmmaking that left me ultimately cold and then the final montage happened and all its formalist flourishes found emotional and thematic weight and left me floored. A staggeringly powerful work.
