Lego Hidden Side is an adventure mobile game published and developed by The Lego Group. It was released on the App Store in 2019, and as of 2023 has now been discontinued, and can no longer be downloaded or played.
Gameplay[]
The game is split into two main features: Hunter Mode and Ghost Mode.
Hunter mode is single player, and requires that you scan a Hidden Side set or any minifigure. Upon doing so, you will find gloomed areas of a set which will hold gloom, ghosts, and other rewards. Upon finding a ghost, you will be forced to battle it by firing blasts of energy (tapping your screen). This will add the ghost to your collection, though if it's a duplicate you will get energy to level it up.
In multiplayer ghost mode, you use said captured ghosts to wage war upon a certain area that represents a Hidden Side set. Each ghost has different stats and abilities which are used to gloom objects (tapping the screen at certain parts of the location). However, a giant phone in the sky has the ability to attack and capture ghosts (depending on what color spectrum it's using) and there are figures on the ground who are also seeking to capture you. Either the hunter will win by capturing all of the ghosts or the ghosts will win by fully glooming the area.
Minifigures[]
The hunter minifigures in this game are the physical protagonist minifigures included in sets, such as Jack or El Fuego, whereas civilian figures like Captain Jonas or enemy figures like Nehmaar Reem are left out.
The ghost minifigures in this game are all non-physical characters (though a few have close minifigure counterparts). You don't start out with any minifigures, though they can all be obtained by scanning most Hidden Side sets (a few, like 40408 Drag Racer are excluded). Ghosts can be obtained by scanning gloom spots located on the set (or a minifigure in the minifigure scanner), and then tapping on the screen to attack them.
