The Koopa Paratroopa is a Super Mario brick-built was introduced in 2021. It is based on the Nintendo character of the same name who debuted in Super Mario Bros. in 1985.

It is mostly identical to the Koopa Troopa, but has two white clips on its red shell to hold its white wings.
Background[]
Koopa Paratroopas were winged Koopa Troopas. They lost their wings when somebody stomped them in the air, turning them into regular Koopa Troopas. Typically, Koopa Paratroopas were placed in large gaps where the Mario brothers must stomp on rows of them to traverse a pit or reap other rewards. They traditionally came in two varieties: Red Koopa Paratroopas usually flew up and down in a set path, while Green Koopa Paratroopas often bounced in the player's general direction or flew back and forth (although many exceptions have been made of these rules).[1]
