George Augustus, also known as King George II, was King of Great Britain and Ireland, Duke of Brunswick-Luneburg, and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. At some point, he gained an interest into finding the Fountain of Youth before the Spanish. He appears in LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game.
Background[]
King George was greedy, extravagant, and more interested in exotic food than foreign policy.
In On Stranger Tides, King George became interested in finding the Fountain of Youth before King Ferdinand of Spain. He employed Hector Barbossa, the Pirate Lord of the Caspian Sea, as a privateer.
The King heard from his ministers that Jack Sparrow was recruiting a crew to find the Fountain, so he had the pirate brought into St. James's Palace for questioning about Sparrow leading an expedition. Negotiations failed after Sparrow escaped the palace. The King gave Barbossa the HMS Providence, a ship of the British Royal Navy, and sent him to find the Fountain.
