Danny Longlegs,[1] known as Korporal Steele in Denmark,[2] Corporal Steel in Germany and Australia,[3][4] and Insector 1 in the UK,[5] is an Insectoids minifigure released in 1998.

In most regions, Corporal Steel is merely described as a bold pilot.[3] LEGO Mania Magazine in the US gives Danny Longlegs a full description, where he is described as a communication expert, the commander of the Arachnoid Star Base, and an avid spider soccer player.[1]

- The minifigure's US name is a pun on the "Daddy Longlegs" nickname for the Opiliones spider.
- In the German September/October 1998 issue and Australian Number 2 1998 issue of World Club Magazine, the names and appearances of Zotaxians are mixed up. In this case, Corporal Steel and Lt. Maverick's respective minifigures are mixed up.[3]
