256 Bedford Tow Truck is a System i Leg HO 1:87 Vehicles set released in 1958, and was in production until 1963. The truck's tow hook can be used to tow other 1:87 vehicles. There are two versions of this set. One had the indicators on the front, while the other had them on the side of the cab.

- It is the same set as set 1256 Bedford Tow Truck. except that set 1256 was released in 1955. Bringing the total production time for this Bedford Tow Truck to 8 years from 1955 to 1963.
- The packaging used for this set is also used for set 255 Bedford Fire Engine.
