Vincent Love is a music mogul of hip hop and gangsta rap, with Randall "Hype" Leonard working as a musician under his contract and Cash Lewis being his producer.

History[]

Transgender college student Eva Carson was employed as a ghost writer, as well as in a relationship with Hype confusing both their orientations, but still with both of them very much in love. When Eva was raped with a pipe and then bludgeoned with it in a bathroom, which she died from after along coma, Love was tracked when he had to identify Hype as the man Eva slapped at a public modeling event they were both attending. It was revealed to be staged to keep the label's street cred and hide the couple's relationship. Hype was suspected when his DNA was found under Eva's fingernails, but that only revealed their relationship, and he was vouched for in his alibi. Lewis was the rapist and murderer of Eva, as to get rid of her to protect the brand. But Lewis was shot dead by Hype, in what he alleged was a dispute over his contract, with one of Love's guns.

Despite Love's implied order of Eva's murder and Hype killing Lewis out of revenge, and a recording revealing Love was planning to by Eva out to get her out of the label, Love denied all his involvement. The company lawyer, Mitch Hampton, was assigned in Hype's "defense" just to keep the detectives away from the record brand, then to keep Hype quiet so he didn't sell out Love by snitching. But Hype was found guilty of murder and sentenced to hard prison time, with Love getting huge success from Hype's single making #1.

It's unknown if Love was ever charged or prosecuted with additional evidence found later implicating him in the crimes. (SVU: "Broken Rhymes")
