Ronnie Ellis is one of three rapists of Libby Parker and the leader of the trio responsible.
History[]
He was the most aggressive and dangerous, being kicked out of three shelters and dealing on the street. After Libby drank that night and scored ketamine from a drug den, Ells led the two other youths in harassing Libby and them taking her back to her apartment. Ellis and the two other youths tried to break into the building, Ellis glaring at witnesses to scare them off, but one neighbor made them leave. The three gang-rape Libby in the cold night, and when Maria Ortiz tried to call the cops, Ellis beat her, stole her phone, and threatened to kill her with the lie of knowing who she was, chasing her off. The youths gang-raped Libby into the morning, then left her to die in the cold and with the level of alcohol and drugs in her systems. She was narrowly rescued and brought to Mercy General Hospital.
When a video from one of the witnesses was released to the public to identify the rapists, social worker Linda Bagley recognized then all and led the detectives to their usual streets. After tracking their Facebook and Twitter DMs, Will Reeves was arrested offering sexual services, while Ellis and Juan Flores were arrested after a chase while they were dealing marijuana, crowds looking on with their phones out. Maria identified them all in a lineup, and despite the defense tried to discredit Libby on the stand, a neighbor named Doug Nelson, who had an eidetic memory but brought his drinking problem to the trial from being drunk while on the stand, provided all the details of what he saw. All three youths were convicted on sex crimes charges and imprisoned. (SVU: "Forty-One Witnesses")
