Kristin Bartell is a congresswoman and the wife of Ryan Bartell, who was murdered by Robert Myers.

History[]

While Kristin complains to her secretary about not having enough days off, Kristin walks into the kitchen where she finds Ryan dead on the floor after being beaten several times. When Cosgrove and Shaw question Kristin, Kristin claims that she was the target and that she had been receiving murder threats and that Ryan did not deserve to die. Later, after trying to find footage of Ryan's, Bartell claimed that Ryan erased the footage of his sessions with his patients for privacy reasons. Later, after discovering that Ryan had been giving Taylor medication to become a woman, Kristin claims that Susan had left town and doesn't want to face the consequences of her activism.

Kristin then claims that parents are planning on suing her for violating their parental rights. Kristin then spilled that she warned Ryan not to get involved with Taylor. Price and Maroun then questioned Kristin and Kristin claimed that Myers threatened Robert. Price and Maroun then urged Kristin to testify against Ryan. Kristin then claimed that she wants to save her political career even though she misses Ryan every single day. Price asks Kristin if it's worth it to let Myers go free for her husband's murder. Kristin then ends up testifying and claims that Myers threatened to kill Ryan.

Attorney Dumont questions her about Ryan's actions with Taylor but Kristin claims that she loved and married a man with opposite political beliefs and that Ryan was not violent and would not attack anyone. In the end, Myers ends up making a deal with Price and Maroun on manslaughter charges. Kristin was then confronted about the deal where she became upset that Price and Maroun chose politics over justice. Kristin then claims that she will be replaced by someone who doesn't even believe that transgender people exist. (L&O: "Private Lives")
