Background Information and Notes[]
- The first appearance of Charlotte Cabell as the only actress portraying Jesse. She had previously alternated with her sister, Vivian Cabell.
- Velasco and Fin are said to be absent quarantining due to COVID-19.
- Billie is unaware that Carisi is not her father.
- Rollins mentions she called her therapist for advice about what to say about Billie's parentage. Carisi reveals that her therapist is still Dr. Alexis Hanover, who Rollins first met in "The Darkest Journey Home".
- The detectives also have Michelle Young use the cognitive reenactment technique that Dr. Hanover taught the detectives and Benson used on Raegan James in that same episode.
- Rollins reveals she has not met Carisi’s parents. Carisi has met both of Amanda's parents, though before they were dating. He met her mother, Beth Anne Rollins, in the episode "Maternal Instincts" and her father, Jim Rollins, in "In The Year We All Fell Down". Jim thought that they were dating in that episode and when he found out they were not, he says Carisi is a nice guy and that the men Amanda dated before were losers.
- The story that Michelle Young recounts is similar to the story of her rape by Brett Kavanaugh that Christine Blasey Ford recounted to Congress: the reactions of her prep-school friends trying to distance themselves from the victim, the victim being the only one who remembered the party at which she was assaulted, and her memory being triggered by the layout of the house in which the assault occurred, in particular.
- Michelle Young and her daughter are said to be pink clouding after they think that Young wasn't actually raped. Other episodes mentioning pink clouding include "Girl Dishonored" and "No Good Reason".
