The new Portlaoise Town Bus Service, operated by CityDirect, is revolutionising local transport with two dedicated routes, PL1 and PL2.   Running every 30 minutes, these routes improve connectivity across Portlaoise, providing essential access to key locations.

With buses running up to 19 hours a day (16 hours on Sundays), the service offers convenient connections to the train station for onward travel to major cities like Dublin, Cork, and Limerick. The service also provides access to shopping hubs and healthcare facilities.

Integrated into the TFI Live App for real-time updates, the service supports Leap Card payments, and Free Travel Pass holders can ride at no cost. Save up to 30% on fares with your Leap Card!
