Gourmet Points

Gourmet Points are points that are added to the player's Gourmet Rank in Kirby's Dream Buffet. They can be earned in various places in the game.

Main Menu[]

Gourmet Points are earned based on how many strawberries the player obtains. In Battle Mode, if the player plays with Spicy CPU Level, the player receives a Spicy Bonus, increasing Gourmet Points by 20%; with Extra Spicy CPU Level, the player receives an Extra-Spicy Bonus, increasing Gourmet Points by 25%; in Gourmet Grand Prix, a player receives a Grand-Prix Bonus for finishing, increasing Gourmet Points by 5% in addition to any CPU Level bonus; in multiplayer, only Player 1's strawberries are converted to Gourmet Points. In Online Mode, players that compete in a Gourmet Grand Prix receive an Online Bonus, increasing Gourmet Points by 80%; this is the only bonus the player receives in Online Mode.

Gourmet Rank[]

Obtaining enough Gourmet Points will increase the player's Gourmet Rank. As the player's Gourmet Rank increases, the amount of Gourmet Points required to reach the next rank increases.

After increasing one's Gourmet Rank, the player receives a reward based on the Gourmet Rank. However, some rewards cannot be obtained by increasing Gourmet Rank, and instead must be obtained by other criteria. The player can view rewards up to five times above the current Gourmet Rank in the Rewards Menu, and can also listen to any unlocked music here.

At Gourmet Rank 1, 100 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 3 (200 Gourmet Points), 200 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 7 (1,000 Gourmet Points), 250 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 27 (6,000 Gourmet Points), 300 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 39 (9,600 Gourmet Points), 400 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 50 (14,000 Gourmet Points), 500 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 60 (19,000 Gourmet Points), 600 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 65 (22,000 Gourmet Points), 800 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 70 (26,000 Gourmet Points), 900 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 80 (35,000 Gourmet Points), 1,000 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 100 (55,000 Gourmet Points), 1,200 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 120 (79,000 Gourmet Points), 1,300 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 125 (85,500 Gourmet Points), 1,400 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
Starting at Gourmet Rank 130 (92,500 Gourmet Points), 1,500 Gourmet Points are needed to reach the next rank.
