The Action Star is an item in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby: Triple Deluxe’s Kirby Fighters sub-game.

The Action Star looks like a sparkly Assist Star, but instead of containing an item, it is marked with a question mark.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Kirby Fighters Deluxe, and Kirby Fighters 2[]
When a character attacks the item, it generally gives that player an advantage. That is not always the case, however. Action Stars can also be attacked by a Gordo Ball, Timed Dynamite, or Cracker, however, if an Action Star lands on an activated Gordo Ball, falls in magma, or is crushed, it will be destroyed. The Action Star's actions are separated into three categories: conditions that affect everyone, conditions that affect everyone except the player that attacked it, and item drops.
If the Action Star is attacked by one of the aforementioned items, all players receive the effect.
Effects[]
When the Action Star is attacked, one of the following effects occurs at random:
- Gives the Dash Shoe power to all Kirbys.
- Causes all Kirbys to explode, dropping health to one point.
- Decreases the speed and jump of all the other Kirbys. Kirbys affected will also have a maroon aura around them.
- Makes all other Kirbys fall asleep. This status expires after a short time as usual, or when the affected Kirby is hit once.
- Drops a bomb on all the other Kirbys (including any Ghost Kirbys).
- Drops a random food item. One may occasionally be a Maxim Tomato.
- Drops three Timed Dynamites.
- Drops three Crackers. This effect is exclusive to Kirby Fighters 2.
