Over the Rainbow (虹の彼方に, Niji no Kanata ni) is the thirty-eighth episode of Kamen Rider Gotchard. It features the debut of Kamen Rider Rainbow Gotchard.

Synopsis[]

Houtaro, who was spirited away from Rinne and the others by a giant egg, finds himself in a black space with a floating blue egg. "What is this place? Who are you?" Houtaro asks the egg.

Gigist stands before Supana, who was on his way to rescue Houtaro. Supana transforms into Kamen Rider Valvarad, only for Gigist to unleash the mighty Malgam, which he had created by rallying his Chemies, on Kamen Rider Valvarad!

  • The episode title is a reference to the Japanese title of the song of the same name from the 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz.
  • Producer Yousuke Minato proposed from the start that it should rain throughout the entire episode until Houtaro returns with the rainbow. Since the episode was filmed in early April, the cast members had to endure both the cold and wet clothes while performing.[1]
