Kougouken Saikou

This article is about a transformation device in Kamen Rider Saber.

The Transformation Holy Sword Kougouken Saikou (変身聖剣 光剛剣最光（コウゴウケンサイコウ）, Henshin Seiken Kōgōken Saikō, lit. "Light Strong Sword Best Light") is the personal weapon and primary form of Kamen Rider Saikou.

Other Kamen Riders can also wield the Kougouken Saikou as a weapon when Saikou is transformed.

Design[]

The Kougouken Saikou is composed of the following parts:

• Sword Grip (ソードグリップ, Sōdo Gurippu): The handle. Allow those who recognize the power to hold this handle and grant it the power of light.
• Ride Signum (ライドシグヌム, Raido Shigunumu): The stamp device at the bottom of the Sword Grip. By placing it on top of the Seiken Saikou Driver's Ride Integrator, it bring out the power of the Wonder Ride Book. As a result, it activates strengthening and special moves with various traditional powers.
• Tourer Mirror (トゥーラーミラ, Tūrā Mira): The blade in front of the Ride Signum. The light-emitting blade dramatically improves the destructive power of the swordsman, such as acceleration and continuous rotation.
• Ride Sword Leg (ライドソードレッグ, Raido Sōdo Reggu): The legs. By flying in the air using the power of holy light, it grants the ability to freely perform old sword techniques. In addition, it enables light speed jumping by blending the whole body with light.
• Saikou Trigger (サイコウトリガー, Saikō Torigā): The trigger. It plays the role as a starter in various attacks.
• Drab Claust (ドラブクラウスト, Dorabu Kurausuto): The connection device. By putting the Seiken in the Shadow side of the Saikou Driver, it replenishes and restores energy to prepare for the next battle.
• Saikou Shelf (サイコウシェルフ, Saikō Sherufu): The base of the Kogouken where the Wonder Ride Book is placed in. It draws power from the Wonder Ride Book and transmits it to the Seiken.
• Aurum Side (アウルムサイド, Aurumu Saido): The right half. It possesses the power of the story "Kin no Buki Gin no Buki" and brings the power to master all kinds of weapons.
• Argentum Side (アルゲンタムサイド, Arugentamu Saido): The left half. It possesses the power of the story "Kin no Buki Gin no Buki", harbors the soul in the Seiken Kougouken Saikou and brings the power of unity.
• Triastral Runes (トリアストラルーン, Toriasutora Rūn): The Kougouken's source. The universal holy light brings about paranormal phenomena such as highlighting evil when it is to illuminate everything, counteracting terrible illusions, and sometimes erasing people's memories and freeing them from evil.
• Saikou Helm (サイコウヘルム, Saikō Herumu): The helmet. By transferring human consciousness to the Seiken, the user become the Swordsman of Light.
• Arausalt (アラウザルト, Arauzaruto): The awakening device. By unfolding the blade, the Seiken Kougouken Saikou awakens.
• Karadoruks (カラドルークス, Karadorūkusu): The golden blade. The blade that emits holy light boasts a sharp sharpness, and by increasing the amount of light emitted, it has the power to cut even invisible things. This makes it even possible to separate the holy and the evil.

Functionality[]

Transformation[]

To transform, the user must flip the Karadoruks open using the Arausalt while it's still docked within the Saikou Driver. This will allow the user to insert the corresponding Wonder Ride Book onto the Saikou Shelf. The user then pulls the Kougouken Saikou from the Saikou Driver, opening the Wonder Ride Book. This will result the user being absorbed into the Kougouken Saikou in form of light particles and making the Kogouken Saikou become sentient, finishing the transformation. To summon Saikou Shadow, the button of the corresponding Wonder Ride Book must be pressed by using the user's will. This will result in the Kougouken Saikou shining temporarily to cast the rider form (Saikou Shadow) in the form of a shadow, before Saikou Shadow materializes physically into the real world.

Hikari Are (光あれ, lit. "Let There Be Light"): Has eight variations.

• Saikou charges Kougouken Saikou with ivory energy, before he spins and delivers a series of powerful high speed slashes to the targets, leaving a golden particle upon impact.
• Saikou fires a golden and ivory colored beam from his eyes, to destroy multiple enemies.
• Saikou casts a blinding light that can dispel negative effects of enemies, such as melting away the Yeti Megid's ice, or destroying the clones created by Storious.
• Saikou charges Kougouken Saikou with blinding light and delivers two powerful high speed slashes to the target, separating a Megid from its human host.
• Saikou X Sword Man Powerful forms a walls of Manga projection from his Powerful X Sword to protect bystanders from the enemy's attacks.
• Saikou creates a flash of light to blind the enemy.
• Saikou X Sword Man produces a large flash of light that transports him and his allies elsewhere.
• Saikou delivers a series of gold energy slashes.

    • Saikou charges the Kougouken Saikou with yellow energy and delivers a golden energy slash.
  • X Swordman Wonderful
    • Saikou leaps forward into the target and performs a roundhouse Rider Kick with the right foot covered in rainbow-colored energy.

Wonder World Story of Kougouken Saikou Wonder Ride Book (ワンダーワールド物語光剛剣最光ワンダーライドブック, Wandā Wārudo Monogatari Kōgōken Saikō Wandā Raido Bukku) is based on Kougouken Saikou. It was used to create the X Sword Man Wonder Ride Book.

Portrayal[]

The Kougouken Saikou is voiced by Akio Otsuka (大塚 明夫, Ōtsuka Akio), who has voiced various characters in Super Sentai, including Hades God Dagon in Mahou Sentai Magiranger and Champ/Oushi Black in Uchu Sentai Kyuranger. The vocal section is provided by singer Eizo Sakamoto (坂本 英三, Sakamoto Eizou).^[3]

Notes[]

• It is stated by Tassel that Kougouken Saikou was the one of the first two Seiken created.
  • This makes both Seiken similar to Yin and yang with Ankokuken Kurayami representing "Yin" or Darkness while Kougouken Saikou representing "Yang" or Light.
