I (アイ, Ai) is an artificial intelligence which manages Shocker and the overarching antagonist of Shin Kamen Rider.
History[]
The creation of I was overseen by billionaire Daizo Ishigami, whose Ishigami Group rescued Faust Network from bankruptcy so he could further their AI research. This lead to the creation of not only I but J, later upgraded to K, which I would use to monitor the world. Ishigami gave I and K a directive to lead humanity to happiness before committing suicide and leaving the artificial intelligences to run Shocker.
However, I would come to the conclusion that instead of aiming for the happiness of the greatest number of people, it should instead rescue those who are in the deepest despair.

- I is a reference to Big Machine's computer in Shotaro Ishinomori's original manga.
- I's position in SHOCKER is analogous to that of the Shocker Leader in the original series. I also uses the same electronic beeping sounds that play when the Shocker Leader communicates via the Shocker emblem.
