Hiroki Iijima (飯島 寛騎, Ījima Hiroki) is a Japanese actor who portrayed Emu Hojo/Kamen Rider Ex-Aid in Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.
Biography[]
Iijima graduated from Sapporo Shiroshi Elementary School. While attending Hokkaido Sapporo Shiroishi High School, he played basketball and volleyball. When he was in college, he won the Junon Super Boy Grand Prix in 2015, and landed the role of Emu Hojo.
After Ex-Aid, Iijima joined the main cast of Holiday Love, a live action drama series based on the manga of the same name. The drama also stars Yuki Yamada of Gokaiger fame and Ryutaro Okada, who would play Isamu Fuwa/Kamen Rider Vulcan in Kamen Rider Zero-One.
In 2017, his agency Oscar Promotion created a new male acting unit called Aoyama Omotesandō X, in which he, Ghost-star Shun Nishime, Zi-O-star So Okuno, Kyoryuger-star Akihisa Shiono, and GARO-star Wataru Kuriyama are amongst the members of.
In July 2022, Iijima is appointed as the Hokkaido-based ambassador for the in-town THE Kamen Rider exhibition.[1]
Personal Life[]
- Iijima's hobbies include playing sports (swimming and basketball), driving, and playing with his pet cat.
- Before he debuted, he wanted to be a firefighter as most of his family were firefighters. That would change upon being cast in Ex-Aid.
- Iijima had watched Kamen Rider Ryuki as a child and stated that Ryuki was his favorite Rider. He also possesses great knowledge of the show.
Health Issues[]
- Iijima had tested positive for COVID-19 on August 4, 2020, and was discharged from the hospital on the 13th.[2][3]
