The Dead Zone (デッドゾーン, Deddo Zōn) is a technique that increases the user's fighting capabilities by building up a lot of energy.
- The original user, Heart, does this by building up latent energy into his heart. He gains an increase in combat prowess at the cost of losing control over his body. Heart also gets stronger with each encounter, allowing him to keep pace with the evolving Riders and their upgrades.
- Kamen Rider Drive and Kamen Rider Mach are able to emulate the Dead Zone through either Shift Deadheat or the Tridoron Key. The emulated Dead Zone allows the two to gain an increase in strength.
- Mach's emulated Dead Zone can be furthered by repeatedly hitting the Boost Igniter on his Mach Driver Honoh until the treads on his Type Deadheat Tire burst, allowing him to access his form's Berserk Mode. Unlike Drive and Heart, Mach has learned to master this state.
