A Clockwork Fiancé (時計じかけの婚約者, Tokei Jikake no Fianse) is the eighteenth episode of Kamen Rider Den-O. It is the second episode of the four-part arc on the mysterious Past Man and the long foreshadowed Yuto Sakurai. The latter makes his full debut in this episode.
Synopsis[]
After encountering the mysterious Past Man, Ryotaro decides to stay in the past in hopes of determining who he really is, even at the risk to himself.
Plot[]
The Wolf Imagin, bored, is stuck in 2004, with Ryotaro staying trying to know what is with the Past Man.
Due to Ryotaro being weakened by multiple Imagin possessions, the Taros try to choose who will leave the DenLiner for the sake of Ryotaro. With the latter coming back to the DenLiner, Owner tells him that staying in the past might be troublesome for the flow of time. Asking what he did see, Ryotaro reveals that the Past Man was indeed Yuto Sakurai, the man Airi was supposed to marry and the one who left the watch Airi had in the café. Due to her memories of her fiancé being lost, this doesn't affect her (it will be revealed later that each of Yuto's transformations into Zeronos erase a chunk of his past, including his relationship with Airi).
Yuka arrives at Milk Dipper and talks about Airi's wedding. However, Airi is confused as she doesn't remember being about get married. With Yuka feeling bad about her world having drastically changed in 3 years, including Airi's coffee, the latter explains that feeling nostalgic about remembering the past can be a source of hope and hapiness. Airi also acknowledges that Yuka changed too, just like the coffee, and that it's due to the ordinary flow of time.
The Wolf Imagin starts to rampage in town out of boredom, and both Momotaros and Kintaros ask Ryotaro for a contract so Ryotaro gets rid of one of the Taros. However, Ryutaros reveals that the origin of Ryotaro's tireness is himself training and eating a lot, thinking it would help handle having 4 Imagin regularly possessing him.
Ryotaro goes to the past again, and uses Rod Form then Ax Form to battle the Wolf Imagin. When trying to finish the Imagin with Sword Form, Momotaros is depressed and hasn't any vigor in the fight. Telling that all this unresolved situation is because of Ryotaro hiding the secret of his sister's past, Momotaros ask for Ryotaro to not fool around and tell everything to Airi. Thus, Momotaros becomes suddenly invigorated, fighting the Wold Imagin with all his might, even upgrading his finisher to Part Five. Ryotaro notices that Momotaros skipped Part Four, but since he was "super strong", his finisher skipped a "Part".
Yuka had decided to go back to the United Kingdom, wishing good luck for Ryotaro and Airi. Trying to understand the mystery behind the watch's writing "The past should give us hope", Hana and Ryotaro meet with a man claiming to be Yuto Sakurai and having a Rider Ticket (dated May 27, 2007)...
