The Edge of Yesterday is the twenty-first episode of the second season of The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, and the forty-seventh overall.
Premise[]
Ezekiel Rage's battle against humanity ends when he tries to set off a nuclear bomb beneath the earth, being thwarted by Dr. Quest's time travel program run through Questworld.
Log line from the script cover page:
Ezekiel Rage has planted a bomb two miles down in between two of the earth's tectonic faults. It took him two months to bury it, and it's going off in an hour. There's no way to stop it unless Jonny, Jessie and Hadji can utilize an experimental time-travel program through QuestWorld. If not, the earth will be blown apart and fall into the sun. Just your average picnic for Ezekiel Rage.

Notes/trivia[]
- Bandit is absent.
- While Rachel's name may seem to come from the TV film Jonny's Golden Quest, it is actually from an old girlfriend of Lance Falk, who also didn't consider the aforementioned film to be canon.
- Dr. Quest talks about going back into to save Rachel, implying that she may have been caught in a fatal accident, but the actual events of her death are never mentioned. In the comic series published by Comico in the 1980s, she died from an illness.
- The episode was originally titled "On the Edge of Yesterday", which was used for the episode script.
- Hanna-Barbera has been animating prehistoric creatures on some of their shows for many years, Especially the Dinosaurs. In the 1960S during the time of the original “Jonny Quest” Dinosaurs were seen dragging their tails. Then later in the late 1980S to the 1990S Dinosaurs didn’t drag their tails, their tails were up in the air as a counter balance.
