The PC-8800 series (usually abbreviated PC-88) is a series of Japanese personal computers launched by NEC in 1981. This was one of the first high-resolution computer with full-colour graphics and its sound capacity was excellent for that time. The PC-8801 is based on a Zilog Z80 CPU.
There were several versions including the PC-8801mkII. The early models had only a cassette player for data saving, but the next models were equipped with a pair of 5.25-inch drive.
