Trivia[]
- This is Train Documentary #91XSD
- This is a reference to Lindsay Katai's favourite alternative rock radio station 91X San Diego.[1]
- On the Cartoon Network website this short was listed under "Season 2" unlike the other shorts.
- This short features vocal performances by Ashley Johnson (the voice of Tulip and the Steward) and Lindsay Katai (the writer of this short) as the various food people.
- "Let's All Go To Concessions" is a parody of a 1950s-era animated musical short Let's All Go to the Lobby which movie theaters would play prior to the main film or during intermission.
- Sad-One indirectly references The Hunger Games movies, as well as the Divergent movies, while wondering what movie could be playing in the Movie Theater Car. As he put it: both movies are dystopian action films wherein the main protagonist is an unassuming teenage girl who discovers that she is special and eventually leads a resistance against the totalitarian government in which they live in.
- Glad-One mentions that one of the very first movies was of a train, but the viewing audience at the time thought it was so real that they boarded the train and traveled to Oshkosh Wisconsin to start a game design camp. In this instance Glad-One is conflating the history of the 1895/1896 short-film L'arrivée d'un train en gare de La Ciotat, directed by the famed Lumière Brothers, with the events of Infinity Train's first episode.
- Parts of the Movie Theater Car have been spray painted black. This is meant to foreshadow Book 2, since the protagonist M.T. can be seen spray painting various reflective surfaces black to avoid being detected by the Mirror Police.
- Additionally, a movie poster on left labeled "coming soon" features a deer which foreshadows a character named Alan Dracula who serves as one of the main protagonists of Book Two.[2]
Errors[]
- For two frames, Popcorn Girl's right eyelid becomes red instead of white.
- After Popcorn Girl catches the "Refreshments" arrow, her nose turns red for six frames.
