RIN, also known as Herrscher of the Corruption, 12th Herrscher, Jizo Mitama, and Ruler of the Corruption, is previous era version of Yae Rin and the sister of SAKURA, the Fire Moth member, she serve as a major antagonist in the popular Chinese game Guns Girl Z (also known as Houkai Gakuen 2), and it’s sequel Honkai Impact 3rd.

What Makes Her Heinous?[]
- Once she became a self-aware virus, RIN spread one of the deadliest viruses mankind has ever seen that she used to kill 90,000,000 people in only a few months. The soilders killed her make her angry is understandable but still.
- Hacking into America and Asia's nuclear bases to launch nuclear missiles of Fire Moth leave half of the world in a state of complete destruction, killing billions more people all for the sake of being able to create her "Plague Kingdom".
- After death, she spilt into Herrscher persona and Higokumaru and manipulated her hatred for the Herrscher's own advantage.
- Leaving Higokumaru's body to infect the entirety of the population of North Asia, effectively turning half of China's civilians into zombies.
- Once she was freed 49,500 years following her original sealing, she created the bubonic plague and used the disease to spread across and infect the entirety of Europe. This event resulted in her wiping out 1/3 of the world's population.
- Turning Eleanor into a spider-like monster when the later injected the energy of the purple box the Herrscher was originally sealed inside of into her own body.
- Torment Yae Sakura in her Stigma realm after dead and make her relive the death of current era Yae Rin and Kallen forced to killed her.
- Invading Yae Sakura's mind and forcing her to remember how she had killed her own sister in a sacrificial ritual in order to convince her to help her sacrifice Theresa Apocalypse.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She's way too tragic, RIN was a kind-hearted young girl who was born with unusually high Honkai levels she could do nothing about, that led to her being taken from her family, imprisoned, and killed by the remnants of humanity out of fear towards her and her powers. These events were what led to her hatred for humanity after awakening as a Herrscher and her turn to villainy.
- All previous Era Herrschers have moral agency issue due to become mindless killing machine until Elysia's sacrifice that allow current era herrscher to retain Humanity.
- After 50,000 years, she already lose too much memories as RIN, making it even harder to redeem her, even if Elysia's sacrifice give her humanity.
- She undergoes a Heel-Face Turn during her final battle with Theresa Apocalypse, where the latter expressed forgiveness towards the Herrscher that made her realize how little taking her hatred and anger out on others truly did help her, and later accept being sealed. She even promised to think about ways to be able to forgive others and make the world she once attacked a better place before being put back into a state of slumber.
Trivia[]
- She is one of the two villains from Honkai Impact 3rd to be Inconsistently Heinous alongside the Herrscher of the Void. Coincidentally, not only are the two Herrschers, but they were also both originally considered to be Pure Evil, but were cut for the proposal in question used for them being plagiarized and for having too many preventions respectively (though in the Herrscher of the Corruption’s case, she too turned out to have many notable preventions upon closer examination following her removal).
- Sakura Samsara has no mention in main storyline. Make the story has questionable canonity.
