Top Spot was a weekly comic aimed at older readers, 16-17 year old office boys and apprentices, published by the Amalgamated Press, later Fleetway, beginning on 25 October 1958. It contained adventure strips, including "Fabian of the Yard", a few humour strips, text stories, pin-ups of sex symbols like Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot, and articles on music and sports. It was edited by Brian Woodford. It never quite recovered after a six-week strike in 1959, and it was merged into Film Fun on 16 January 1960.
