Mia Dearden is a bow-wielding vigilante who becomes the second Speedy, acting as side-kick to Green Arrow. He rescued her from a child prostitution ring and took her in as his ward, training her in archery. Having worked in the sex industry for an abusive pimp she is HIV-positive. She has been a member of Team Arrow and the Teen Titans. Mia Dearden was created by Kevin Smith and Phil Hester, first appearing during the Quiver storyline in Green Arrow Vol 3 #2. (2001)
