Synopsis for "Heart & Soul"
At the Hellfire Club, Shinobi Shaw plays chess with his ally Benazir Kaur, and they discuss his latest scheme. At Xavier’s School, Storm returns to her room after going flying, and Archangel brings her a bouquet of roses and a dinner invitation from Shaw. When she considers accepting, Warren tells her about Shaw’s failed attempt to recruit him and Psylocke. Storm pricks herself on a thorn and quickly grows irritable. That evening, she stuns the X-Men by donning a provocative dress for her dinner with Shaw. When Professor X expresses concern, Storm angrily tells him off, and Gambit gives her a ride into the city on his motorcycle. After dinner, Shaw tells Storm his encounter with Archangel and Psylocke convinced him to stop trying to live up to his father and instead pursue his own path. He says he wants the Hellfire Club to help humanity and invites her to join. Skeptical, Storm says she will consider his offer and leaves. Once she is gone, Shaw’s immortal benefactress Candra appears, and Shaw reveals he has drugged Storm to make her suggestible. Back at the school, Storm has a nightmare in which surgeons scold her for wasting her powers and prepare to transplant them into a starving child. She wakes up, blasts a hole in her bedroom wall with lightning, and flies to the Hellfire Club. Shaw introduces Kaur and his other allies Benedict Kine and Reeva Payge, and Storm tells them about her nightmare. Shaw gloats that he drugged her and has Kine use his powers to attack her nervous system. The X-Men scan the city for Storm from the Blackbird until Xavier reaches her telepathically. Shaw and Kine prepare to brainwash her, but Xavier helps her resist and break free. Storm knocks out Kine just before Gambit and Bishop arrive and join the fight. While they deal with Kaur and Payge, Storm defeats Shaw. The next day, Storm apologizes to Professor X, and they reconcile.

In England, Banshee breaks into the office of his old Interpol commander, Brigadier McBride, and demands the location of Patrick Lipton. McBride says Lipton is being held at a Hydra base in Ireland.
