This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the film Swamp Thing and is an adaptation of Anton Arcane. The original character was created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson and first appeared in Swamp Thing #2.
Anton Arcane was portrayed by Louis Jourdan. While he was posing as Harry Ritter, Arcane was portrayed by Don Knight.
