“ For you, you zombie maniac, dead is better. „
~ Red Hood after killing Louis Creed.
“ You were a zombie, and had no idea what you were doing. I was revived too, but by something else. When I was revived, I did some stuff that was bad in the city where I'm from. After that, I escaped to Flushing, Queens, New York, which is where I've been living since then. I forgive you. „
~ Jason sharing his story with Ellie and forgiving her for her prior actions.

He will return in the upcoming threequel The Fears Of The Past.

He was a vigilante who disappeared to Flushing, Queens, New York, where he got a job at Barclays as a desk analysist. He is the adoptive father of Gage Creed and Ellie Creed, as well as the arch-enemy of Louis Creed.

Biography[]

Batman: Under the Red Hood[]

For what led up to Jason's disappearance, see here.

Son of Red Hood[]

Rescuing and adopting Gage[]

Moments before Louis can open the car door to the seat that Gage is sitting in, shots rang out, and one of them hit Louis in the left arm. He and Ellie ran away, and Rachel Creed was killed after a struggle. The shots also prompted Church to run away, though he eventually died of starvation 1 week later.

Jason then found Gage, introduced himself, and took him to his house in Flushing, Queens, New York. 2 hours after submitting the papers for adoption, the request was approved. Jason then reassured him and promised him that he'll protect him from Louis and Ellie if they ever come as the two hugged. They then came into the house as all of Gage's toys were brought in by Jason, who set up the bedroom. After Gage had entered his new bedroom, Jason got the toys that he salvaged from the Creed house, then put them into Gage's bedroom. While Jason is setting up for Gage, he had started to settle into the house.

4 months later[]

Gage had settled into living with Jason Todd, who he loves as if he was his son. Both Jason and Wilson Harson, father of Gage's friend Mark, talked about how Gage had been letting up for the past 4 months, as well as how Jason is doing at paying child support. After realizing that it was in the afternoon, Jason decided it was time to leave and that he'll make Gage a veggie salad as promised. However, Gage was still worried about Louis and Ellie coming after him, to which Jason reassured him that he promised that he will protect his adoptive son. Although Gage was happy after hearing this, he was still unsure about his zombie family coming to get him.

Trip to the Queens Crossing Art Gallery[]

After arriving and paying admission at the Queens Crossing Art Gallery, Gage saw one of the paintings, and admired it. Jason, in response, took a picture of him with the painting, and they went walking around the museum until it was time to leave. Jason decided to go to Wendy's, and Gage agreed to it.

Lunch at Wendy's[]

After they arrived at Wendy's, Jason and Gage found a spot to sit at, and as they ate, Ellie was watching them intently. After she and Louis left the area, Jason and Gage finished eating their lunch, and they went back to their home.

Developing the cure for Ellie[]

After going into his bedroom, which doubles as a laboratory, Jason started work on the cure by extracting fluorine and diborane that he found in two old oil barrels, then he mixed it into one chemical. Jason then put it in a syringe, then put it in a mouse that was resurrected and became a zombie. The cure worked, then he mixed both chemicals again and after that, he put the chemicals in the syringe. Jason said that the only reason why he wants to use it on Ellie is because he wants to restore her back to her old self.

Dinner time and bed time[]

After putting the syringe in his utility belt, Jason makes Gage mac and cheese with a side of veggie salad, like he promised Gage. After that, Jason played the Count Your Monkeys game with Gage, gave him a bath, then he tucked him into bed. After that, Jason remarked that he and his adoptive son will have a great day the next day.

Paying James a visit[]

The next day, Jason had left Gage with Ms. Krensick as a babysitter before he left. After arriving at SP Firearms Unlimited, Jason asked James Paxim, the man at the front desk about Louis. Jason was then informed that Louis and Ellie had already left the store, prompting him to put his Red Hood Helmet on.

Pursuing Louis and Ellie Creed[]

Red Hood was up behind them in pursuit. First, Louis took aim at the vehicle using the HRACW 410 Bore rifle, but only hit the passenger side door. While Ellie was losing paitence for the second time, Louis aimed at Red Hood and shot at him twice, but that failed too. Red Hood then took aim at the front left tire of the getaway vehicle and shot it, causing it to swerve out of control. The chase then continued on until Red Hood noticed that Louis and Ellie were gaining on him, prompting him to respond by shooting the front right tire of the getaway vehicle, causing it to crash into a fence, seemingly killing both of them.

Final confrontation[]

After Red Hood went into the house, he paid Ms. Krensick, who left. Red Hood got a jetpack, and standing at the front door, was Ellie. She was standing there, with her white tutu and half of her cat mask partially singed from the chase, revealing her disfigurement. She then jumped onto Red Hood, where they had a struggle until he managed to grab the syringe and inject her with the cure by sticking the syringe into her right arm. As a result, Ellie stopped attacking, then she clenched onto her stomach with her right hand, and stumbled around. Eventually, she stumbled onto the shower curtain in the first bathroom she found, which snagged onto her clothes, and her cat mask fell off after falling into the bath tub. Her facial disfigurement was fixed as she fell, as well as any damage that she had from the truck being reversed by the cure. The shower curtain covered her up like a blanket. Red Hood saw that the syringe was empty, but was pleased that he used it to cure Ellie of her powers and abilities. Then he heard a noise, which catches him off-guard. Louis then took Red Hood off-guard, and Louis lunged onto him. After that, he was thrown off of Red Hood. Then, he fired two shots using his two guns, causing him to run away. After that, Louis grabbed a kitchen knife, intending to kill Red Hood, who disarmed him by throwing two shurikens tied to a rope at him, which latched onto his right arm and the knife to fall out of Louis's hands. Louis then ran at Red Hood, and they had a brawl in the living room, until Red Hood fired his AK-47, causing Louis to reclaim his kitchen knife, then got another one out. Red Hood then pulled out his combat knife, then he and Louis charged at each other. After locking knives, Red Hood kicked Louis in the stomach, sending him flying into the corner. He then lunged at Red Hood, who used a grappling hook gun to throw him into the kitchen. Red Hood then pulled out his taser as Louis grabbed a frying pan. Just as Red Hood is almost hit with the pan, he uses his taser, causing Louis to fall down to his knees. Louis then tackled Red Hood, sending them rolling outside. Then, Louis grabbed the weapons that he bought, including his BG Knife Prisim III Folding Hunter switchblade and punctured the gas tank of the white 2007 Cadillac Escalade, causing it to explode, sending them flying. He used his rifle to try and kill Red Hood, but he avoided that shot and the rifle was split in half after Red Hood threw one of his shurikens at it. He was about to gain the advantage until Red Hood kicked him in the kneecaps. Before Red Hood can deliver the final blow, Louis backflipped into him, sending the combat knife sliding away. Red Hood reloaded his two guns and fired them as soon as Louis ran into the house, prompting Red Hood to use his jetpack to grab him and throw him onto the couch in the living room. Louis then begged to be let go because he wants to have a zombie family, but Red Hood refuses, citing that he went too far. He fired his two pistols, but missed because Louis dodged the shots. Louis somehow lost his temper about Ellie being cured, and he wants to undo the cure by killing her, then he'll kill Gage, and have them, Rachel, and Church resurrected at the MicMac burial grounds. He and Red Hood continued their fight, then Red Hood sucker punches Louis into the recliner, resulting in him falling face-first into the chair. Louis was about to tackle Red Hood until he used his jetpack to fly off, and fired his grappling hook gun and wrapped it around Louis's leg, pulling him with Red Hood as they went into the sky. After that, Red Hood released Louis, and they threw punches at each other. The two enemies continue their fight as fall into the master bedroom, causing Louis's Hellcat OSP 9mm Luger pistol to slide out of his grip. Red Hood threw his combat knife at Louis, who dodged it, and he picked up his pistol at the same time Red Hood drew out one of his two pistols. Louis then pulled the trigger, but only sparks came out the front of the gun because of it being jammed. Red Hood then shoots Louis in the chest on the right side, injuring him. Red Hood walked two steps, then aimed at the same area he first shot Louis in, and shoots him again, killing him for good.

Comforting and calming Ellie[]

After defeating Louis Creed, Jason heard crying, took off his Red Hood helmet, then ran off to the bathroom where Ellie had fallen into the bathtub of. She was crying about her prior actions, and Jason comforted her and forgave her after sharing his story about being revived. Ellie started to cry, but Jason managed to calm her down by shushing her. He then decided to adopt her and get her a child psychologist, becasue he worries about how Ellie would turn out.

2 weeks later[]

Jason, who had paid $30,000 for the part of the house that was damaged during the battle, had adopted Ellie, and was getting ready for him and his adoptive children to have fun together. He also bought a black 2017 Lincoln Navigator to replace his previous car that was destroyed during the fight. After he put Gage in his carseat, he and Ellie hugged. After the hug, Ellie got in the backseat of the vehicle, and they went to Fantasy Forest Amusement Park. They bought tickets, and as Ellie stayed close to Jason, Gage held his hand. They then got to Queens Himalaya, and the three got onto the ride. Ellie remarked that it was going to be fun, and Jason agreed with her. After the ride, the three they left the amusement park and went to the car. Along the way to Flushing Ice Cream Factory, Ellie was listening to Come And Get Your Love by Redbone on her black Zune 30 and green wired earbuds that Jason got for her while Gage was playing with his toy Laugh And Learn To Play puppy that Jason got him. They soon arrived at the ice cream parlor. Jason ordered two cups of Pineapple ice cream. One for him, and one for Gage. Ellie ordered some Banana Ice Cream for herself. Jason was then told that Ellie enjoyed the ice cream. She is grateful for it, and he agreed with her. So did Gage. After that, the three got in the car, and Ellie played Cherry Bomb by The Runaways on her Zune. As they left the ice cream parlor, Ellie told Jason and Gage that she is looking forward to her next adventure. Gage nodded yes in agreement, and Jason nodded in agreement as well as they were heading back to Jason's house.

In between[]

They had fun, and even cared for one another over the course of 5 years. In one instance, Jason wanted to help Ellie when she caught a fever at the age of 11.

The Darkest Hour[]

Coming home with dinner[]

5 years later, Jason came home with pizzas from Little Caesars Pizza. He called Gage, now 7 years old, and Ellie, now 14 years old, down to have dinner. After Jason asked her why she didn't touch her pizza, Ellie revealed that it was due to her anxiety attacks that she had been having in the 5 years since being cured and adopted. She then revealed that Ellie had been taking paroxetine every night before bed. Jason then revealed to her that following Louis's ultimate death, he was buried at the Gate of Heaven cemetery, with the area he was buried in being surrounded and enclosed by concrete to try and deter anyone from digging him up and resurrecting him so that he could return. Ellie showed gratitude for being cured. After she gave her adoptive father a hug, she, him, and Gage finished their dinner, then she went back to her room. Ellie was then playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on her Xbox Series X. She was at the part where Cere Junda was stopping the last of the Empire's assault, and would later battle Darth Vader.

Informing Ellie about Hush, Bane, and Rachel Creed[]

After he arrived in Ellie's room, she and him had a conversation about Jud being revived and calling himself Hush. When Gage came into the room, he informed them that there was something they need to see. After the three of them went into the living room, they hear on the news on the channel ABC7 that Hush, Rachel Creed, and Bane were going on a crime spree in the city robbing places.

We Out hiking trail trip and disaster[]

After they got in the car, they then left to head back to their lair. Jason then decided to take Ellie and Gage to the We Out hiking trail. While they were on the trail, she started to admire the fresh air. However, as they turned around and went back to the 2017 Lincoln Navigator that Jason owned, they noticed Rachel Creed standing in front of them. She obeyed her adoptive father when he ordered them to get in the car for their own safety. However, Gage was shot in the back by Rachel, and while Ellie was calling 911 to have Gage taken to the hospital, Red Hood engaged with Rachel Creed (who had been revived with a glowing red chemical and administered a super-soldier serum that gave her enhanced speed and strength) in a brutal battle that got all the way up to the top of the trail. After she pushed him into a nearby rocky area, Rachel had built a wall of sticks that she hopes would kill him. Red Hood, who pulled out his combat knife, tried to make a blow, only for Rachel to block it with the BG Knife Prisim III Folding Hunter switchblade. Then, he cornered her at the same rocky area that he was pushed into. Red Hood, with quick thinking, poked Rachel with his combat knife, and backflipped over her. Then, when she went for the killing blow, he pushed her into the wall of sticks, destroying them, and she falls from the cliff.

Kravis Children's hospital[]

While she and Jason were at the hospital, Ellie hoped that Gage would be OK. Before they left, she gave him a Get Well Soon card. Jason then praised Ellie for her selflessness in trying to stabilize her brother's injury. She then revealed that the only reason she did that because she loved him.

Gage's homecoming from the hospital[]

After Gage was picked up by Jason, Ellie placed her right hand on Gage's left shoulder, and reassured him that it would be OK during the trip back home. Unknown to them, they were followed by Hush and Bane. During Red Hood's battle with Bane, Ellie was being abducted by Hush. After Bane's defeat, Red Hood gives Hush chase to the villain's lair.

Final showdown with Hush[]

“ STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!!!! „
~ Red Hood's Heroic Breakdown after seeing Ellie's ankles and wrists tied up to the master bedroom of Hush's lair.

After Hush got out a Dremel Micro 8050 out of his garbage bag full of his weapons, he put the rotary attachment on, then used it in an attempt to lobotomize her. However, Red Hood damaged the Dremel, then he told him to stay away from her. After freeing Ellie, she was ordered to get in the black 2017 Lincoln Navigator, and she obliged. After Red Hood freed Ellie and told her to wait in the car, he and Hush engaged in a brutal showdown inside his lair, and during the fight, one of the weapons, a KelTec KSG 12 Gauge Pump Action Shotgun was. Then, Red Hood approached him. Hush then explained that all he wanted was payback against Ellie for what she did to him. Red Hood, who, out of a desire to protect Ellie and Gage, shot Hush in the back and then the head, killing him.

Aftermath and closure for Ellie[]

Following Hush's ultimate death, Jason decided to reassure Ellie, who was still shaken up from nearly being lobotomized, that it would not happen to her because Hush is dead. After giving Jason a hug, she then decided to Ellie and Jason then left, agreeing that they had too much trouble with Hush. After leaving the villain's lair, Jason was driving through the snowy streets. When Ellie saw a shadow leaving after it left something in the alley, she urged Jason to stop the car. However, when she enters the alley, she only finds a calico kitten named Anne, which she picks up and takes into the car with her. They then head back to their home, and a flashing light came on in the sky. After that, unbeknownst to Ellie, the man who left Anne in the alleyway looked at the signal.
