“ | You needed time to sort out your memories, and we knew you couldn’t do that in sickbay, or locked up in a room. You would never believe in anything unless you figured it out for yourself. As always, you prefer doing things the hard way, and I respect that. But that tendency can also be self-destructive. Trust me. | „ |

Biography[]
Early Life[]
November Annabella "Nova" Terra was born on January 15th, 2485 on Tarsonis to Constantino and Bela Terra, and the younger sister to Carla and Zeb Terra. Nova is a member of the Terra family, who were one of the Old Families, the rich and wealthy of the Terran Confederacy. Regarded as the "golden child" of the family, Nova possessed empathy, which was lacking in the Old Families, but her ability didn't go unnoticed. Her ability to feel a degree of empathy was connected to her telepathic abilities, which she began to show around the age of seven. Her parents knew of her abilities, and kept them a secret so she wouldn't be inducted into the Ghost Academy. Though Constantino and Bela attempted to prevent Nova from learning of her telepathic abilities, she would learn she was when she was fifteen years old.
When the Zerg and Protoss started to invade the Confederacy along with the Old Families being attacked, the government advised members of the families to send their children off of Tarsonis. Before she left her home, Nova could feel her parents' mind before they were executed by Cliff Nadaner and his anti-Confederate rebels. She returned to find the rebels murdering her family, and unleashed her telepathic powers, causing massive destruction. She ran into "the gutter", where its leader, Julius Antoine "Fagin" Dale, wanted her to work for him. When Fagin learned of her identity after seeing a broadcast of Clara declaring all of her family dead, he decided to have her killed since the Old Families would retaliate. However, Nova was forced to work for him when he started to slaughter children until she agreed.
Fagin had Nova be his assassin and "loyalty" detector on anyone who challenged his authority, causing her to cause death to those who didn't pass her test. She would be rescued from this by Malcolm Kelerchian, who was an agent who was tasked to rescue Terra so she could be inducted into the Ghost program. When she learned that becoming a ghost required a memory wipe, Nova saw this as in incentive, as she wanted to forget the deaths of her family and working for Fagin.
Becoming a Ghost[]
Going to the Ghost Academy, Nova was trained to control her psionics and combat. She was noted for being one of the best, and her attitude changed during her training as well. During her training, Nova would become a member of Team Blue, which prove to be a problem since her time in the gutter taught her self-reliance. She would find memory wiping to be dangerous, however, as she felt she was forgetting her friend at the academy, Kath Toom. Nova also started to fell in love with her teammate, Gabriel Tosh, who started to admire her abilities. Her skills and determination allowed her to complete her ghost training in two years, making a record since a ghost would have to graduate in four years. Emperor Arcturus Mengsk gave Nova her final assignment, to kill Cliff Nadaner before becoming a terrorist against the Terran Dominion. Terra managed to eliminate Nadaner and his rebels, and went through a memory wipe, thus becoming a ghost.
Wings of Liberty[]
Nova decided to eliminate Gabriel Tosh, who had become a spectre and was working with Jim Raynor and his raiders, but didn't inform the group of his intentions. When she learned that Raynor and Tosh were going to raid the New Folsom prison, Nova contacted Jim and revealed that the prison held spectre's, who Tosh planned on reactivating. She also revealed that all spectre's become psychotic killers, and that Tosh would eventually snap and kill Raynor.
If Raynor sides with Tosh, Nova attempts to warn the guards at New Folsom, but were unable to stop Raynor, Tosh, and his raiders.
If Raynor sides with Nova, she will eliminate Tosh while Raynor and his raiders destroyed the spectre's training facility. Nova thanks Raynor for his assistance, and gives him the material needed to rain his ghosts, and will sometimes appear in the armory.
Heart of the Swarm[]
When Sarah Kerrigan was being held at the Research Station EB-103, Nova was tasked to apprehending her due to her actions when she was the "Queen of the Swarm". Kerrigan managed to escape, but Nova was able to capture Raynor, and depending on player's previous actions in Wings of Liberty, she will remind Raynor of his choice.
Nova Covert Ops[]
Many years after the End War, where Amon had fallen by the good forces of 3 races of Koprulu Sector: Terran, Zerg and Protoss, her role has currently changed into a hero. Valerian Mengsk, the current emperor of Terran Dominion, sends her to stop the anti-Dominion terrorist faction known as the Defenders of Man from using the Psi Emitters to lure the alien threats such as Zerg on defenseless planets so they'll be painted as heroes and show that Valerian was weak in his imperial rule. After Nova made a deal with Alarak she went to a planet that was destroyed by the zerg invasion and remembered her memories about working for the Defenders of Man and alert Valerian about Davis is an evil General that is trying to avenge the previous emperors death. Nova captured Davis but ended up fighting the flying fleet of the Taldarim Death Fleet which caused Davis to escape. After destroying a prototype mech she assassinated Davis and was branded as a fugitive that will fight to protect the dominion people on their terms.
