Episode 1[]
- Main article: Episode 601 - 16 Chefs Compete
After receiving some tips from Jean-Philippe and former Hell's Kitchen contestants, Ramsay ordered all the chefs to cook their signature dishes.
Before tasting the signature dishes, Ramsay announced that for the first time ever, the Signature Dish Challenge would occur as a regular team challenge, with each contestant going head-to-head. Suzanne was the first person of the red team to have her dish judged by Ramsay, and went up against Dave. She prepared a Fontaine risotto, being already very confident and saying she could kick anybody's ass. But, Ramsay immediately saw that her rice was looking undercooked, which she categorically disagreed, and when Dave tasted and described it having a chalky texture, she continued to disagree. However, when Ramsay spat it out, he confirmed it was undercooked as the rice was crunchy and bright white in the center. Neither she nor Dave won the round.
The red team eventually lost the challenge 2-3, and was punished by cleaning both kitchens ahead of the opening service. They were also served Bologna sandwiches for dinner, and after their punishment, the women came up to the dorms and found their uniforms, knives, and cookbooks, which they had to learn by heart. The next morning, during prep, the women were already going full steam ahead and were confident as they spent the previous night studying the menu the previous night and resting. Minutes before opening, Lovely overcooked some fondants, and Suzanne called her team a bunch of circus clowns and added she would have to bust her ass to make sure the red team would win.
During dinner service, Suzanne was on the meat station with Ariel. She was not seen at all as the red team never went past appetizers.
When the teams were lined up, Ramsay declared the red team losers for not serving any entrées, and were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, Suzanne immediately pointed out Melinda for lacking the passion and knowledge, declaring they should "send that bitch home".
Suzanne was not nominated for elimination, and after Melinda left, she welcomed Robert in her team, as a new teammate.[1]
Episode 2[]

Back in the dorms, the red team received some precious help when Robert gave some tips on how to properly cook the food to the women.
The next morning, both teams got down in the blue kitchen, where Ramsay introduced the Shrimp Cleaning Challenge. Suzanne was the sixth person from the red team to have her shrimps judged by Ramsay, and scored an impressive 10 points. However, the red team lost the challenge 44-45, and they were punished by cleaning shrimps and segmenting lemons, removing every seed from all of them, all day long, for a shrimp cocktail during the next dinner service.
During the punishment, Suzanne was annoyed by Tennille's way of telling people what to do and started to confront her in the kitchen, leading to an awkward moment. Later, she continued to confront Tennille about her poor performance and questioned her experience, saying she could not believe someone like her never cleaned shrimp before. It was at this moment that her rivalry with Tennille began.
During dinner service, Suzanne was on the appetizer station with Robert. She gave some encouragement to him after he failed his first risotto, and later, she tried to interfere with Sabrina's job on meat, telling her what to do. Sabrina did not appreciate, and the two of them got into an argument, where Sabrina told her to shut up so she could get it done. One minute later, when Sabrina sent her second attempt at the chicken to the pass, she acknowledged it was still raw, and when Ramsay came back to say that the chicken was indeed raw, she gave all the credits to herself, saying Sabrina should listen to her in the future. Later, she lost faith in Lovely after the latter sent a burnt sea bass, declaring she did not think Lovely could cook. After a lot of struggle in both kitchens, Ramsay ordered both teams to send shrimp cocktails to the dining room, and shut down both kitchens.
When both teams were lined up, Ramsay named both teams losers, and asked them to nominate two people each for elimination. During deliberation, Suzanne quickly named her team's problems, saying that Lovely's sea bass was burnt, and considered Sabrina for the chicken incident, but Sabrina was annoyed by her way of talking like if she was talking to a 5-year-old.
Suzanne was not nominated for elimination, and tried to calm down Joseph, who was having his infamous outburst, reminding him that he wanted to be an executive chef.[2]
Episode 3[]
- Main article: Episode 603 - 14 Chefs Compete
After Joseph's departure and Tony's elimination, Suzanne and the red team said goodbye to Robert, who had just been transferred to the blue team.
Back in the dorms, the chefs went to bed, trying to get some sleep, but very early in the night, alarm bells started to sound. Sous Chef Scott, holding a flashlight, told everybody to get out of the restaurant immediately as an emergency was called. Then, fire trucks arrived at Hell's Kitchen and the chefs got outside. But, Ramsay was standing with the firefighters, revealing that it was a fire drill. He introduced the Firefighter Pasta Meal Service Challenge, and all the chefs got back in the dorms to change.
During the challenge, Suzanne was working on entrées, and when one of Sabrina's dishes came back, she declared that Sabrina could not drag the red team down and that she did not know what she would do if they would lose. When Ramsay announced that the red team won the challenge, she celebrated with Lovely, being proud of the win. They were rewarded with a day at the Pacific Water Spa, in Huntington Beach, California, as well as a helicopter ride to get there.
During dinner service, Suzanne was on the garnish station. At one point, she told Tennille that she was using too much oil and started to pour some out herself, which Tennille did not appreciate. Later, she was annoying Tennille once again with her attitude when she told the latter that she was putting too much oil in her pan. After that, she praised the teamwork when Ariel emerged as the leader of the team. They managed to finish their tickets before the blue team, but they were declared losers anyway, as they had an 81% above average rating from the customers, compared to the blue team's 83%. Ariel was named "Best of the Worst".
She was not nominated for elimination.[3]
Episode 4[]
- Main article: Episode 604 - 13 Chefs Compete
Back in the dorms, Suzanne was upset that nobody was eliminated, as she thought Tennille was still having the potential to drag the team down. Then, she had a little argument with Tennille, where the latter told her that what she said in service was inappropriate, and she answered that she never took it to a personal level, while Tennille declared she did.
During the Sausage Strings Challenge, Suzanne was paired with Tennille. Despite their disagreements, they worked well together and produced two acceptable strings. She acknowledged that while they both had animosity between each other, they were still determined to pull off the challenge and trust each other. The red team won the challenge 6-4, and they were rewarded with lunch at Old World Village for an Oktoberfest style party.
During dinner service, Suzanne was on the meat station. At the beginning of service, she was giving Tennille instructions on the risotto, much to the latter's annoyance. Later, Ramsay sent back her lamb for having more bone than meat, and she got lectured on piece sizing. The red team eventually lost the service.
When both teams were lined up, Suzanne questioned the red team's loss by asking Ramsay for a play by play. However, Ramsay lectured her that the red team lost despite the fact that they had fourteen arms compared to the blue team’s eleven, and was told to take their loss with respect, much to her embarrassment. Sabrina was named "Best of the Worst". Back in the dorms, she feared she would be going home for questioning Ramsay, and got mocked by the blue team for her actions.
Suzanne was not nominated for elimination but was called by Ramsay to tell who she would send home. She answered that Lovely should, to which Ramsay agreed.[4]
Episode 5[]
- Main article: Episode 605 - 12 Chefs Compete
During the Welcome Home Planning Challenge, Suzanne was called into Ramsay's office with Robert, to learn what the Sergeant's wife wanted for the menu. After learning all that was needed, she said that she had some ideas already. During the challenge, she told her team the dishes she wanted to make for the menu, and her picky leadership frustrated her teammates, and even rejected Tennille’s proposal of a jambalaya sauce. However, she said that she wanted to come up with the ideas and have the red team execute them. When she saw the blue team's macaroni dish, she arrogantly believed that the macaroni was played out. She presented the red team's second entrée, which was a broiled lobster tail with seafood demarie pasta and a light white wine seafood sauce. While it tasted good, she lost the round to Robert, and the red team lost the challenge 1-2. They were punished by decorating the dining room ahead of the Welcome Home Party, under the supervision of Ramsay's wife.
Back in the dorms, the red team was disappointed in Suzanne as she did not properly give them any important words, such as soul food, that could have helped them. Later, she and Tennille had an argument over her poor leadership and was called crazy for not understanding why the red team lost.
During prep, Suzanne was one of the few chefs on the red team to realize that the blue team was trying to sabotage them by giving unhelpful advice on their menu. During the Welcome Home dinner service, she was at the dessert station. When she saw Tek's burnt steaks, she said that she could not produce what she claimed, and tried to help her on the grill. The red team lost the service after the blue team came to help them serve their entrées.
She was not nominated for elimination.[5]
Episode 6[]
- Main article: Episode 606 - 11 Chefs Compete
During the 700 Calories Challenge, Suzanne was not seen much, but the red team won the challenge 3-1. They were rewarded with a day at Venice Beach to play volleyball with Annett Davis, which star struck her. They also received gift baskets containing Vitamix blenders and cookbooks.
During dinner service, Suzanne was on the appetizer station. She gave Sabrina some directions on carving the chicken, despite the fact that it was taking 30 seconds on average. Then, she said that Sabrina's raw pork was bad as it could make someone very sick. Both teams were named joint-losers and were asked to not nominate one person each for elimination.
She was not nominated for elimination.[6]
Episode 7[]
- Main article: Episode 607 - 10 Chefs Compete
During the Craps Challenge, Suzanne rolled an R and picked rabbit, as she felt that it was versatile. While cooking, she butted into her teammates' work, much to their annoyance. The red team lost the challenge, and they were punished by taking part in Delivery Day, do inventory, and prep both kitchens for the next service. During the punishment, she complained about her sore arms and back, while telling Jean-Philippe that it was the shittiest night since her arrival.
During prep, Suzanne's bossy attitude caused Ariel and Tennille to consider losing her. During dinner service, she was at the dessert station. She was not seen much that night, but Sabrina called her looking fake busy as she was running around a lot, but not accomplishing anything. The red team eventually won the service.[7]
Episode 8[]
- Main article: Episode 608 - 9 Chefs Compete
During the Blind Taste Test, Suzanne agreed with Ramsay's decision to make Tennille sit out, as she felt Tennille was the weakest chef on the red team. She was the second person of the red team to compete and went up against Dave. She correctly guessed turkey and egg yolk, and the red team eventually won the challenge 6-4. They were rewarded with lunch in Opaque, at the V Lounge, and eat lunch with Ramsay in the dark. During lunch, she attempted to suck up to Ramsay, much to her teammates' annoyance.
During prep, Suzanne realized that her teammates were alienating her, and hated that she had to work with them. During dinner service, she was on the fish station. Despite Tennille's concern on her scallops' colors, they were accepted. Later on entrées, she announced that her sea bass was ready despite Sabrina earlier stating that she needed four more minutes on her lamb, leading Ramsay to ask why they could not work together, and she impatiently waited for Sabrina's lamb. Then, she stalled the red team on a ticket for her sea bass, but when she accidentally broke it, Ramsay forced the red team to start over again, while giving her the entire tray. Despite Tennille accusing her of sinking them, she said that she could not let her station look like a dump. Later, she asked Amanda for some help on fish, but when their attempt came out stone cold, she blamed Amanda for it.
The red team lost the service, and Tennille was named "Best of the Worst". Back in the dorms, Tennille told Suzanne that she would be nominated for being a poor team player, and throwing people under the bus. When she disagreed with that, the rest of her teammates agreed as Tennille reminded her that it was about the team by that point. Despite that, she was still feeling that she did nothing wrong.
Suzanne was Tennille's first nominee, with Sabrina being the second. They were eventually joined by Amanda. During her plea, she said that she was pissed off that her team did not like her, and felt that she was nominated out of spite, but Tennille told that she nominated her based on her poor teamwork skills and poor performance. She survived elimination after Ramsay sent her back in line.[8]
Episode 9[]
- Main article: Episode 609 - 8 Chefs Compete
Back in the dorms, Suzanne realized that she had to change in order to get into good grace with the red team. But, Ariel told her that she had to realize how she was interacting with the team in order to succeed while adding on that nobody was going to put up with her attitude any longer.
During the Crepe Challenge, Suzanne tried to be the best team player as possible by offering her teammates some kitchen supplies but was called a kiss ass by Sabrina, and Ariel thought that she was trying to overcompensate for the previous night. During the judging, she went up against Kevin in the dinner round, and presented her filet and quail egg crepe. Despite it being praised for tasting delicious and having a perfect seasoning, she annoyed everybody with her long spiel about how great her crepe was. Despite that, she tied the round with Kevin. The red team won the challenge 3-2, and they were rewarded with a French experience, which included mime lessons, and eating lunch at La Cachette.
During dinner service, Suzanne was on the meat station. At one point, she announced that she needed six more minutes on her meat, despite the fact that Tennille and Ariel were already at one minute on their dishes. Then, she said that she wanted eight minutes, and annoyed Ariel for calling out inconsistent timings. When Ramsay asked why things were slowing down, she stated that the oven was having problems, while getting a warning not to be a smartass. Later, she sliced her lamb too early, and Ramsay told her to get a grip while getting reminded that they were working on his timings, and not hers. When she did send her lamb, she only had two medium and one normal instead of the one medium and two normal that were ordered. Then, she struggled on her other normal lambs, as Ramsay was forced to send out an incomplete table while complaining that he had never seen someone so inconsistent like her. Finally, she sent an ordered mid-rare lamb that was actually medium well, and after getting berated for how inconsistent she was, Ramsay ejected her along with Sabrina.
Both teams were named joint-losers, and Ramsay asked them to nominate two people together. During deliberation, Suzanne declared that she did her best, but Tennille said that she was not understanding that she sunk the red team due to her poor performance. When she found out that she would be nominated, she was confused and asked why she was seen as the bad guy, and even asked why she should be nominated. While she claimed that she was a team player, Tennille and Ariel knew that it was a lie, even though she felt that it was not fair.
Suzanne was the first nominee, with Andy being the second. During her plea, Ramsay accused her of being in a downward trend, but she answered that she could cook at any station, despite Ariel and Tennille telling her that the red team would be better without her, which Ramsay took an interest of. She survived elimination.
After Andy left, Ramsay told Suzanne to take off her jacket, but instead of getting eliminated, she was transferred to the blue team, while being warned to start shining again.[9]
Episode 10[]
- Main article: Episode 610 - 7 Chefs Compete
Back in the dorms, Suzanne was told by Kevin that the blue team was not happy about that decision, that they did not like her attitude, and that she had to be a team player. While she promised that she would work herself to their level, Van and Kevin warned her that there were no throwing people under the bus anymore, unless she wanted to be under the bus as well.
During the Fifteen Canadian Ingredients Challenge, Suzanne tried to input some ideas on her new team's dishes, but they were rejected as Kevin felt that they were all crap. She did not present any of the dishes, but the blue team won the challenge 4-2. They were rewarded with a day at Campanile while receiving Whistler beanies that Ramsay picked up on his trip.
While creating a new menu, Suzanne liked how the blue team was working together and wanted to kick the red team’s ass. During dinner service, she was on the garnish station. She was not seen much, except when she asked if she should take over Dave's station after he left temporarily. She also showed some concern for Van's halibut. Both teams were eventually named joint-losers, and Ramsay asked them to nominate one person each for elimination.
Despite her decent performance, Suzanne was targeted by Van and Kevin, but she refused to go up due to being the new guy and that she worked hard during service. She was not nominated for elimination, even though Dave acknowledged that she was the weakest chef on the blue team.[10]
Episode 11[]

The next day, Suzanne and the remaining chefs received black jackets, which she compared to Christmas morning.
During the Taste It Now Make It Challenge, Suzanne was paired with Dave. They used turbot, calamari, parsnip, and passion fruit to recreate Ramsay's dish. Together, they got the closest to Ramsay's original dish, and they won the challenge. However, she openly gloated about her victory until Dave quieted her. She and Dave were rewarded with lunch at the London West Hollywood with Season 4 winner Christina. During lunch, she asked Christina a lot of questions and talked over Dave when he tried to say something, all while feeling that she could win.
During dinner service, Suzanne was on the appetizer station. Despite feeling confident on that station, she served two tortellini portions instead of the three that were ordered, and despite saying that she needed two more minutes, she took a long time for the refire and screwed up the timing. Despite that, she managed to fix the tortellini refire, and the synchronization between her and Kevin was fixed. However, because of her mistake, the kitchen received an overflow of tickets as very little food was being served, and Ramsay yelled at her for that. When Ramsay and Sous Chef Scott left the kitchen, she was placed on the pass to plate the dishes. However, she refused to plate them as she did not want to screw up, much to her teammates' annoyance. When Ramsay and Sous Chef Scott came back, she was ejected from service, along with Van and Ariel.
Suzanne was the first nominee for elimination, with Ariel being the second. They were called down with Van. During her plea, she told that she was nervous, with Ramsay warning her that she was spiraling down. She survived elimination.[11]
Episode 12[]
- Main article: Episode 612 - 5 Chefs Compete
Back in the dorms, Suzanne admitted to Ariel that she was shaking as it was her third nomination, and feared that it could be her last chance.
During the Presentation Challenge, Suzanne hoped that she would win as Bon Appétit was one of the premier magazines in the culinary industry. She made a calamari salad, but she only ranked in fourth place, even though she felt that it was artistic. She lost the challenge to Kevin and Ariel, and she was punished by picking up trash at an adopted road, and cleaning the front entrance of Hell’s Kitchen. During the punishment, she called garbage collecting not the glamorous thing she has ever done.
During prep, Suzanne got annoyed by Kevin's leadership and felt that he was being pretentious. During dinner service, she was on the fish station. When Ramsay asked her for the scallops, she revealed that she did not have them on, and blamed Tennille for not giving a proper time, much to Ramsay’s dismay. Despite the weak communication, her first order of scallops was accepted. Then, she sent her next order of scallops, but Ramsay rejected them as one was burnt, and she got accused of not working hard. When it came to entrées, she sent up a raw sea bass, and Ramsay angrily smashed it on the ground, but she managed to get her re-fire accepted. After service, Ramsay asked the final five to nominate two people for elimination.
Suzanne was the second nominee, with Ariel being the first. During her plea, Ramsay noticed that it was her fourth nomination, but she said that she was focused on standard technique and perfection, and believed that she was a better chef than Ariel. Despite that, Ramsay eliminated her as she was given more chances than anybody else, and was on a downward spiral without any return. During her exit interview, she received a retrospective montage of her run and finally realized that her major flaw was alienating her teammates due to her attitude, and believed that the final four were happy that she was finally eliminated.
Ramsay's comment: "Suzanne had a red jacket, she had a blue jacket, she had a black jacket. Now, she has no jacket." [12]
