What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Beats his ex-wife and her partner to death after sneaking into her home. Afterwards, he burns the house down to destroy the evidence.
- Aggressively stalks and intimidates Rachel in traffic to show her what his idea of a bad day is, even though it's his fault for not going on a green light.
- When an innocent man is escorting Rachel out of the gas station, Tom runs him over, making it a vehicular manslaughter.
- After stealing Rachel's phone, Tom meets her friend and defense attorney Andy in order to manipulate him. When his true colors are revealed, Tom murders Andy by smashing his nose on a coffee mug, slamming his head on the table, punching him repeatedly, and choking him with his own tie before stabbing Andy to death with a butterknife.
- Gives Rachel an ultimatum that he'll kill someone listed in her phone.
- After sneaking into the home of Rachel's brother, Fred, he brutally murders his fiancé May by stabbing her with the knife Fred was holding.
- Blames Fred for causing his fiancé's death and reads a hateful message to Rachel over the phone while Fred is tied up, proving that he is a liar.
- He attempts to kill Fred by setting him on fire after pouring gasoline on him.
- It's implied that Tom murdered Rachel's neighbor, Rosie, as his car is seen driving away from her property.
- Rams and kills a random woman during a chase sequence with Rachel. Not only that, he deliberately rammed other drivers off the road, which goes far beyond road rage as he commits a large number of hit & runs AND vehicular manslaughter plus homicide altogether.
- Beats Rachel and her son, Kyle several times. He attempts to strangle Kyle to death.
- Because of how disproportionate his crimes are, no sympathy is shown for him losing his job and for his wife leaving him, in short, he deserved to lose his job and have his wife leave him.
- Tom showing mercy towards Rachel by apologizing for holding her up in traffic was not only done as a self-serving act, but this action is nullified by Tom's abusive behavior towards her and he only did it because he expected an apology in return, all because he blatantly refused to proceed through a green light, which shows how much of a bad driver he really is.
