Jiemma is a major antagonist from the anime and manga Fairy Tail. He is the father to Minerva Orland and was the former leader of the Sabertooth guild and only wanted for his guild to have strong fighters who never lost in a contest during the Magic Tournament. He eventually left the guild and became an ally to the Tartaros guild.
He was voiced by Eiji Miyashita in the Japanese version and John McCalmont in the English version.
What Makes Him Hated?[]
- He had no sympathy for people he saw as weak and would be disrespectful to them.
- He had an arrogant, crass, and unpleasant attitude and demeanor when he appears.
- Despite being the leader of Sabertooth, he had no respect for any of his underlings as only cared if they won fights in the tournament.
- When Yukino Agna lost her battle in the Magic Tournament, Jiemma forced her strip off her clothes in front of her guildmates, erase her guild mark and kicked her out of the guild.
- He was a bad and abusive father to Minerva Orland. His harsh demeanor also reflects on how Minerva would act.
- When Sting and Rogue both lost their match in the tournament, Jiemma lashed out at them and attempt to have both of them leave the guild as punishment.
- He attacked Lector when he saw him, although Lector was trying to diffuse the situation between Jiemma and Rogue and Sting. Even though Lector was a part of Sabertooth, Jiemma did not recall the cat being a member. Jiemma attempted to kill Lector. Although his attempt failed, Sting got enraged by Jiemma's act that he brutally attacked him out of revenge, which got Jiemma expelled from his own guild.
- After no longer being a part of Sabertooth, Jiemma becomes an ally to Tartaros (a guild made up of dangerous demons from the Book of Zeref). He assisted Tartaros in their plan to have them wipe out magic on the continent and help revive E.N.D. Jiemma also fights Sting and Rogue and shows no remorse for what he did to them in the past.
- He had no "Evil is Cool" qualities and had no redeeming qualities, while also being taken very seriously within the series.
