Corporal Perez was a UNSC Marine assigned to the 405th Marine Infantry Division. He fought in the Battle of Earth, as well as in the Battle of Installation 05.

Battle of Earth[]

During the Battle of Earth, John-117 met the Corporal in the proximity of a Marine field command post in New Mombasa where some Marines are held up, wounded, and making a last-ditch stand against the Covenant. He led John-117 to Staff Sergeant Marcus Banks' position on the roof, and then he simply became another background Marine.
Search for the Index[]
Perez is mentioned, but not seen, during the Battle of the Library, in which the UNSC and the Arbiter race against each other to gain possession of the Index, while the Flood try to stop them. McKenzie and Perez were with Miranda Keyes and Sergeant Johnson, and evidently the only two Marines to reach the Index chamber alive.
McKenzie and Perez were tasked with securing the exit from the chamber, but he and his comrade were captured by the Brutes, as when Johnson calls them for their status, they do not respond. The Arbiter arrived shortly after, capturing Keyes, Johnson, and the Icon.[2]
In the level High Charity, Perez was held in one of the detention blocks, which Master Chief freed him and the other Marines from.

- Based upon his use of the expletive "coño" during the Halo 2 E3 Demo, he is presumed to be of Spanish nationality or descent.
