The M343A2 Minigun, more commonly known as the chaingun, is a heavy weapon featured in Halo 5: Guardians.[1] It was employed by the UNSC in conflicts after the Requiem Campaign as a successor to the M41 and M46 Light Anti-Aircraft Guns.
Design[]
The chaingun is a five-barrel electrically-driven Gatling style weapon, and are installed on M12 Warthogs on a pneumatic full-rotation turret, or a semi-portable tripod when used on the field. It is also compatible with all UNSC-standard heavy weapon mounts.
As a support weapon, picking up the chaingun results in a lack of mobility.
