Spiked Knuckles

The Spiked Knuckles are a Knuckle-class weapon introduced in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.

Basic Description by Game[]

The Spiked Knuckles increases the wielder's Attack by 109 points. It can be bought for 8500 coins and sold for 6375 coins.

In Dark Dawn, the Spiked Knuckles can be found in the Artifact section of Champa Camp's weapons shop. Like all Fist-class weapons, the Spiked Knuckles can only be equipped by Sveta. It has 2 Unleashes: Force Off and Galactic Blow. Force Off is a Jupiter-based Unleash that multiplies damage by x1.7. Force Off also has a chance to Stun the target. Galactic Blow is a Jupiter-based Unleash that multiplies damage by x1.8. It also has a chance to inflict Sleep on the target.

Analysis[]

When found, the Spiked Knuckles are outclassed by the stronger Beast Knuckles, which are obtained earlier in Belinsk. However, in some playthroughs, the Beast Knuckles can be missed. If the Spiked Knuckles must be equipped, they can be a fairly useful weapon. The two Unleashes provide a fairly consistent level of power, and both side effects can be useful in certain situations. Finally, they are slightly stronger than the Iron Claw, available at Yamata City. In this case, the Spiked Knuckles become a placeholder weapon until the player can obtain the plot-required Umbra Knuckles.
