Did this spell get left out of the 3.5 Player's Handbook? I can't find it and don't have the 3.0 PHB. There is an Alter Self spell, but the description and class/levels are different. A little help from someone with a 3.0 PHB? —Moviesign (talk) 03:12, August 25, 2013 (UTC)
- Change self was renamed to disguise self in the 3.5 PHB, confirmed in the update accessory (I don't have the 3.0 book). The spell descriptions are extremely close, perhaps even copied, and word-for-word in parts. — BadCatMan (talk) 09:32, August 25, 2013 (UTC)
- So I'd say this is very close... I suggest we combine this and "Alter self" sense it was renamed (Any ideas of what we would call it?). And if some one thinks it to close I could just rewrite it, it is next on the spell list. Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 15:40, March 4, 2015 (UTC)
- I volunteer to combine them, unless I find a good reason to separate some editions from others. —Moviesign (talk) 00:55, March 5, 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, perhaps these should stay separate because one is an illusion and the other is a transmutation, which are very different types of magic. I'll see what I can do about bringing these two pages up to date with all five editions. —Moviesign (talk) 01:02, March 5, 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, oh my now that I see the change log I did add to the "Alter self" spell :S! Things are starting to blur to gather :S! So then by this edition they are separate... Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 11:59, March 5, 2015 (UTC)
BTW, alter self is a different spell entirely, a transmutation with a side-effect similar in function to disguise self, but otherwise very different. — BadCatMan (talk) 13:28, March 5, 2015 (UTC)
