Light burst weapons produce a blinding flash of light on a severe hit to the target.[1]
Description[]
Appearance[]
Light burst weapons are typically etched with images of the sun and have a warmth when touched.[1]
Powers[]
When a light burst weapon scores a severe hit, it unleashes a dazzling burst of light, leaving the unfortunate subject partially blind and dazzled for approximately a minute. Those with particular sensitivity to light, such as drow or kobolds, also suffer the effects of a daylight spell for about six seconds, then have to endure being dazzled.[1]
The wielder of the weapon does not suffer the effects, unless especially sensitive to light.[1]
Creation[]
A spellcaster who wishes to enchant a weapon with the light burst property has to have the daylight spell available.[1]
Publication history[]
