Habitat[]
Birch trees grew throughout Faerun, though were considered relatively rare.[2]
- In interior Faerûn, birches grew throughout the lowlands of the Cormyr countryside.[3]
- In north Faerûn, birches grew throughout the Dalelands.[4]
- Birch was known to grow in the Earthwood.[5]
- In the Silver Marches, birch trees were known to grow in the Cold Wood.[6]
- Birch was known to grow in the forests of the lowlands of the Moonshae Isles.[1]
- In the Unapproachable East, birches were common across the nation of Aglarond.[7]
- Outside of the Prime Material plane, these trees were known to grow in the forests of the Beastlands,[8] and in Tymora's garden in Brightwater of Arvandor.[9]
Varieties[]
Water birch grew in the Vast Swamp of Cormyr.[10]
Silver birch trees decorated with silver filigree grew in a grove in Verenestra's bower in the Seelie Court.[11]
Uses[]
Wands of flame strike were carved out of scorched birch wood.[12]
