This is a list of minor real people who appear in the 2003 anime and its movie Conqueror of Shamballa.
Erik Jan Hanussen
Erik Jan Hanussen only appears during a scene at the carnival where he meets Noah. The other female Roma give her to Erik so he can hand her over to the Thule Society, but she manges to escape from the men by hiding underneath a cloth covering Ed and Alfons' rocket on the truck they arrived in.
Karl Haushofer
After retiring from the German army, Karl Haushofer became a professor at the University of Munich in 1921. There he meets Hohenheim for the first time, who recently had installed in the city. Confessing to having a great knowledge of alchemy, Hohenheim earns the respect of Karl and in the someway both are shown, allowing Hohenheim to join a secret organization called the Thule Society, which Hohenheim hopes will help him to send his son back to his own world. This would later lead to Hohenheim's death, as he's used as a sacrifice to enter "Shamballa".
Rudolf Hess
Rudolf Hess was a leading member of the Nazi party in Nazi Germany, and in the movie is given a generic grunt personality, always taking orders from higher-ups. At the beginning of the film, he's seen at the carnival, offering and becoming a sponsor for Alfons Heiderich's rocket research before attempting to kidnap Noah.
He fails to get her at the carnival, but manages to later in the movie. He is also the one to pull the trigger and kill Alfons while he launches Edward into Amestris.
He isn't seen again until the end of the movie, where he is being hauled off by German police.
Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler only appears in a few scenes of the movie, each time non-speaking. He's first seen being cheered for by members of the Thule Society with cheers of "Führer!".
He's next seen in a scene recreating the Beer Hall Putsch, firing his gun in the air to get the attention of everyone present. In the real world, this is when he announced that the "national revolution" had begun and declared the formation of a new government, demanding the support of Gustav Ritter von Kahr and other politicians.
He's last seen near the end of the film, wounded and carried by two other members of the society as others are arrested, his coup d'état failing just like in real life.
Aside from his role in the film, the real Hitler actually briefly appears in Episode 29, albeit only for a few frames, as he can be seen in one of the photographs seen during Edward's flashback of what was on the other side of the gate. This could be considered major foreshadowing for the reveal of the real world being on the other side of the gate.
Gustav Ritter von Kahr
Gustav Ritter von Kahr briefly in a single scene in a non-speaking role, when Hitler and other members of the Thule society storm the public meeting in Bavaria. He was, at various points, district president of Upper Bavaria, Bavarian minister president, and Bavarian state commissioner.
Trivia
