War of Deliverance/Northern Zofia Battle

Northern Zofia Battle (Japanese: ソフィアの北の戦い North Sofia Battle) is the first map of the third act of Alm's route in Fire Emblem Gaiden and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.

Strategy

As a rule of thumb, it is better to complete Celica's Act 3 in its entirety before challenging Alm's Act 3. Celica can get the Rion Shield from Grieth's Citadel and send it to Alm via Peddler, allowing him to complete a couple of sidequests and get an Exotic Spice that can be sold for 3 Gold Marks which can be used to forge up his Ridersbane.

On to the actual battle. Your first order of business is sending Clive to the west with the Ridersbane to school Fernand and his goons. Try to keep him from engaging the Arcanist, though. Silque should also Warp the Villager Mercenary to the north to take on the initial wave. With 14 Attack, she can get him into the forest, which helps a lot. Beware the Witches, who can teleport behind your lines to inflict major damage. Fortunately, even Forsyth won't be one-rounded by them at full health.
