Thunder Beam (サンダービーム, Sandā Bīmu?), also known as Bolt Beam, is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is an ability most often used by characters riding the Magitek Armor, which deals Lightning-elemental damage to one target.

Etymology[]

Thunder is the sound caused by lightning. Depending on the distance and nature of the lightning, thunder can range from a sharp, loud crack to a long, low rumble (brontide).
